Dozens of casualties reported in Damascus attacks

Damascus, Syria – At least ten civilians were killed on Friday as the pro-Assad air forces bombarded Kafr Batna town in the eastern countryside of Damascus.

Talking to ARA News, Yezen Ibrahim, civil rights activist from Damascus, said: “The pro-regime warplanes bombed the town (Kafr Batna) with rockets, killing ten civilians including a woman.”

Meanwhile, the pro-regime warplanes carried out two other raids on Friday evening on the neighbourhood of Jobar east of Damascus, targeting the neighbourhoods residential buildings with rockets, without recording casualties, local sources reported.

Ibrahim pointed out that the pro-regime military forces stationed in Sufyan al-Thawri area targeted with mortars Zamalka district in Damascus.

Ahmad Sabbagh, civil rights activist from Damascus, stated to ARA News that the pro-regime helicopters dropped several explosive barrels on al-Mazra’a area in western Damascus.
