Damascus, Syria – At least 4 civilians were killed on Thursday evening, after being targeted by the pro-regime snipers in the towns of Zabadani and Saqba in Damascus Suburbs, south of Syria.
Ahmad Sabbagh, civil activist based in the city of Damascus, stated to ARA News that the pro-Assad snipers (stationed in al-Humairat area) shot four civilians dead in al-Basateen district.
“Two other civilians were reported dead in Zamalka town in Eastern Ghouta, in Damascus countryside, after being shot by pro-Assad snipers,” said Sabbagh.
Meanwhile, the regime military forces (stationed in the Vehicle Administration branch in Harasta in Damascus countryside) targeted with mortars the city of Saqba, killing a number civilians and wounding several others, local sources reported.
“The wounded were transferred to a nearby field hospital,” Sabbagh reported.
This coincided with artillery shelling by pro-Assad forces in al-Tiba town in western Ghouta from its headquarteres in Salh al-Tair Mount. No casualties reported.
