Damascus, Syria – The radical group Islamic State (IS/ISIS), an al-Qaeda offshoot, stoned a Syrian woman to death on charges of committing adultery in the eastern countryside of Hamah, central Syria.

The woman convicted of adultery, shown in a video tape published online by activists, appeared as a defendant in the presence of the IS judge and her farther.

“Please forgive me,” she addressed her father, who refused and left her destiny in the hands of IS militants.

After obliging her father to tie her and bring her down to a newly dug grave, several IS extremists appeared stoning the woman to death. The incident was followed by an IS preacher announcing the implementation of the death sentence in public.

This comes following the execution of a young media activist who was crucified on charges of filming one of the IS headquarters in the city of al-Bab, northern Aleppo.

Commenting on the events of public executions carried out by IS extremists, Nasser al-Abdullah, a Syrian psychotherapist, stated to ARA News that the use of these public executions is to spread fear and impose domination which is deemed as “a psychological warfare”, pushing the opponents to surrender to the group’s regulations.

“IS group teaches brutality and mercilessness to its members and the public,” he said.

“IS radicals are content in their religious dogma that’s why they carry out their act of murder in cold blood,” al-Abdullah added.
