Four journalists were injured by ISIS mortar shells in the al-Mishlab neighbourhood of Raqqa city on Friday, local sources reported.
The journalists were covering the developments of the third day of the Raqqa operation, led by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), when a mortar shell hit their location.
On 6 June, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces launched an operation to take the city of Raqqa from ISIS.
A group of journalists that visited the liberated neighbourhood of al-Mishlab on Friday were injured by mortar shells, when they visited the neighbourhood.
After that the SDF fighters brought the injured journalists to medical stations for treatment.
According to the local ANHA agency, their condition was stable and their wounds were not serious.
This is not the first time journalists get injured while covering the fight against ISIS.
During the Mosul operation in Iraq several journalists were heavily injured, and even killed, like Rudaw reporter Shifa Gardi who lost het life in Mosul on 25 February.
