Aleppo, Syria ــ One civilian was reported dead while several others wounded on Saturday in an air strike launched by the pro-regime helicopters on several neighbourhoods in Aleppo, north of Syria.

Imad Hussein, civil activist based in the city of Aleppo, told ARA News that the pro-Assad helicopters bombed Qadi Askar district in Aleppo with an explosive barrel, killing one civilian and wounding several others.

“The injured were transferred to a nearby field hospital in the area,” Hussein said.

A similar strike hit al-Haidariya neighbourhood on Saturday evening, while pro-Assad warplanes targeted with heavy machine guns the Ba’ideen roundabout and Hulok district, without recording any casualties.

Yusuf al-Bayour, media activist from Aleppo, told ARA News that the regime forces shelled with tanks the neighbourhood of Kallaseh from their headquarters in al-Izzah neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted between the regime forces on the one hand and fighters of the Free Syrian Army FSA backed by Islamic brigades on the other hand, in the industrial city in Sheikh Najjar area and the vicinity of the Central Prison of Aleppo, local sources reported.

This comes a day after dozens of pro-Assad fighters were reportedly killed in clashes with FSA fighters and the Islamic brigades in the vicinity of Bureij area in Aleppo suburb.
