ALEPPO – Syrian rebels struck Aleppo University with rockets on Tuesday. Local sources reported that the missiles had killed and wounded a number of civilians.
Rebel projectiles hit buildings belonging to Aleppo’s Law School and Faculty of Science, in Syria’s northern Aleppo City. At least three civilians were killed and more than a dozen were injured in the bombardment.
Al-Haji, a local journalist, told ARA News: “The rebels launched several rockets from their bases in the Bustan al-Basha neighbourhood, targeting university buildings in central Aleppo.” The University District is under the control of the Syrian regime.
Also on Tuesday, clashes broke out between rebel fighters and the Syrian Army near the regime-held neighbourhoods of Midan and Jabriyah.
According to eyewitnesses, heavy weapons were used in the clashes, causing the death of five civilians and the injury of eight others.
