Damascus, Syria – Two of the regime-led military bases were exploded in the neighbourhood of Jobar, southeast of the capital Damascus. Dozens of pro-Assad soldiers were reportedly killed in the explosions on Saturday evening.

Yezen Ibrahim, civil activist based in Damascus, stated to ARA News that fighters from the Army of Islam Brigades and Jund Dimashq (Damascus fighters) were able to bomb two headquarters of the regime forces near Abbasids Square in Jobar.

“30 pro-Assad fighters were killed while dozens of others injured due to the explosions,” Ibrahim reported.

“Ambulances rushed to the incident place, transferring the injured to the nearby governmental hospitals of Abbasids, al-Mujtahid and Ibn al-Nafis,” Ibrahim reported.

The bombings coincided with sporadic clashes between the pro-regime military forces and fighters from the FSA-linked Islamic Brigades near the Abbasids garage, Panorama, and al-Qaboun district.

This comes amid alert in the ranks of the regime forces deployed in the vicinity of the clashes area, according to eyewitnesses who talked to ARA News.
