The Syrian regime’s air force on Thursday launched several airstrikes, targeting two main hospitals in the rebel-held Idlib province, activists reported.
The air raids targeted a hospital in Deir Sharqi town and another hospital located in the Maarzita, southern Idlib province.
“At least 18 civilians were killed due to the airstrikes, including several babies in incubators,” local media activist Ahmed Halwani told ARA News.
Also, at least five medical staff lost their lives during the airstrikes on Thursday.
“The raids caused a massive destruction in the buildings of the two targeted hospitals,” Halwani reported.
The source added that rescue teams continued searching for victims under the rubble until the midnight on Thursday.
