Aleppo, Syria – At least 20 civilians were killed and about 45 others injured on Saturday in Anadan town, north of Aleppo, due to aerial bombardment by the pro-regime air force.
Imad Hussein, civil rights activist based in Aleppo, stated to ARA News that the helicopters of pro-Assad air force dropped four explosive barrels on residential buildings in Anadan town, killing 20 civilians, including 4 children and 5 women. “40 others were reportedly injured (mostly women and children) and transferred to a nearby field hospital,” Hussein said. “However, critical cases were transferred to hospitals inside the Turkish territory.”
Meanwhile, the pro-Assad military forces targeted with heavy machine guns Alcastelo district in Aleppo, what resulted in three critical injuries among civilians, local sources reported.
Ismail Aziz, human rights activist from Aleppo, talked to ARA News saying: “The regime forces shelled Haritan town in Aleppo countryside with ‘Grad rockets’, while their helicopters dropped explosive barrels on Bustan al-Basha neighbourhood”.
This coincided with shelling Hayyan town in Aleppo countryside by regime-led headquarters in the hill of Sheikh Yusuf, while the pro-Assad helicopters dropped several explosive barrels on Kafarnaha village and Ba’ideen town in Aleppo city. No casualties reported.
