DAMASCUS – The extremist group of Islamic State (ISIS) threatened in a new video released on Monday to carry out more attacks on the countries participating in the U.S.-led coalition’s military campaign against the group in Syria and Iraq.

“They would suffer the same fate as France,” an ISIS militant said in the video.

On Friday, the group carried out deadly attacks in Paris, killing and wounding dozens of people.

The video, which has been circulated on the social media by pro-ISIS activists, starts flashbacking the news of Friday’s attacks in Paris where at least 129 people were killed and more than 300 others wounded.

Describing the U.S.-led coalition as “crusader campaign”, the ISIS statement identified one perpetuator of Paris attacks, who was dressed in fatigues and a turban. He is al-Ghareeb the Algerian, according to the video’s subtitle.

“By God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, we swear that we will strike America in Washington,” the ISIS man said, addressing the U.S.-led coalition, vowing the U.S. will face the same fate of France.

Calling Paris attacks an “act of war”, the French government has said it would continue its airstrikes against the terror group in Syria.

On Sunday, French warplanes carried out the fiercest raids in Syria, targeting ISIS’s major bastion of Raqqa. The operation was carried out in coordination with U.S. forces.

In the video, al-Ghareeb the Algerian also threatened European countries with more attacks in the future.

“We are coming to you (European countries), coming with explosives, explosive belts and (gun) silencers. You will be unable to stop us; we are much stronger than before,” he said.

Addressing the French President Francois Hollande in the same video, al-Karrar, another ISIS militant, said: “We have decided to negotiate with you in the trenches and not in hotels,” referring to the current G20 meeting in the Turkish coastal city of Antalya.
